CBLDF Panel at APE - STAPLE! to make donation

The CBLDF will have an important panel discussion at APE.
CBLDF: Fighting For Free Speech[/b:48debaa303]
The Free Speech climate of 2005 is volatile, with broad hysteria against “indecent” content, new laws that would shut down the sale and display of any work addressing sexual conduct, and ongoing legislation targeting the sale of videogames and violent media. The CBLDF is fighting for the First Amendment in that climate, actively involved in challenging the unconstitutional laws, and defending the cases that affect the rights of comics. Join CBLDF Executive Director [b:48debaa303]Charles Brownstein [/b:48debaa303]for this compelling look at the state of Free Speech and what the CBLDF is doing to keep comics safe.
Southard[/b:48debaa303], author of the graphic novel [b:48debaa303]Drive [/b:48debaa303]from [b:48debaa303]Frequency Press[/b:48debaa303], will be attending the panel to give a $1,000 donation to the CBLDF on behalf of b:48debaa303STAPLE! The Independent Media Expo/URL. The donation comes from the door reciepts of the STAPLE! event which occurred on March 5, in Austin, Texas.
If your going to APE, please show your support to the CBLDF by attending this panel.

RE:

Nate reporting in.
I spoke with Charles Brownstein shortly after the show opened, and he said he would rather have the photo-op at the CBLDF booth due to time constraints. Now, I’m not one to try to push the CBLDF around, so that’s what happened. There was a nice photo taken on Saturday, and then another photo taken with a slightly more tired, much more hungover me on Sunday due to a camera malfunction.
By the way, the show kicked much ass, but we still sold more books at STAPLE!

Good enough – mission accomplished!
/> You were hungover due to a camera malfunction? I think you’re trying to shift blame here.
