Waiting...

for the other shoe to drop.
what does that mean? I know it means your anxious about an impending, potentially unpleasant event, but what’s the origin? Does it have something to do with horses?

waiting for the other shoe to drop and crush my wee head

I’m wondering if I’ll get into tonight’s showing of [i:146d7d35aa]Kung Fu Hustle[/i:146d7d35aa] at the Paramount. Having a SXSW Film pass doesn’t guarantee entry, as the SXSW volunteers are fond of reminding everyone who’s already heard this disclaimer several dozen times.
And then, assuming I get into the theater, will I have to run off to pee during one of the better fight scenes? or will I tie my legs in knots and suffer through to the end?

I told you to pee before we left the house! Don’t make me come back there and seperate you two! I’ll turn this car around!
oh..sorry, flashback.

Kung Fu Hustle rocked

Fu Hustle[/i:b0e3c6114f] was a blast. I assume the movie will be out in wider release soon enough, at which point I’ll probably go see it again.
The flick was
(1) Funny
(2) Visually yummy
(3) Chock full of good fight scenes
(4) Built on a story line that actually works

Maybe it’s like, dammit, I already lost one shoe while being dragged by this horse-drawn carriage, now the only thing that could be worse, would be if my other one dropped…?
