Anyway, I think Staple’s a great idea… As I told Chris, I’m gonna try to make it.
I do have a question (and it may be on your site somewhere, but I’m a lazy bastard)... Have you set up any arrangements with local hotels to give a discounted rate to exhibitors and attendees? Being your first year, it wouldn’t be expected or anything. I was just curious.
Best of luck to you. I believe Staple has the potential to one day become one of THE conventions that people go out of their way to attend.

Thanks a lot for your encouraging comments Jade. Truly appreciated.
As for hotel discounts, that’s a great idea and something we intend to pursue. I’ll be letting everyone know – most likely through this forum or in the Travel section – if we’re able to set something like that up.

Hope that works.
The only problem with having the event so close to downtown is the price of the nearest hotels. There is, however, also a hostel http://www.hiaustin.org/ about a mile from the event location. At $19.75 a night, it should leave you plenty of cash to blow downtown and at the event.
