Trade Shows and the Texas Sales & Use Tax
Hey Chris, here’s my write up for the sales tax info. It’s pretty standard stuff.
::::
Shows and the Texas Sales & Use Tax:[/b:5e4a0600c8] We are recommending that anybody exhibiting at STAPLE get a sales tax permit if they sell taxable products at the show, take orders that are later accepted out of state, or use the show to promote sales.
If you are a Texas resident should get a [i:5e4a0600c8]sales tax permit[/i:5e4a0600c8] if you do not already have one. If you are an exhibitor without a Texas location you should get a [i:5e4a0600c8]use tax permit[/i:5e4a0600c8]. The same form is used either way.
For further information and tax permit applications (Either the AP-157 form for sole-owners or the longer AP-201 form) please visit: :arrow: http://www.window.state.tx.us/taxinfo/taxpubs/tx96_276.html
